About The Role

As a Data Analyst operating within our highly efficient contractor team, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive insights and improvements for our off-platform advertising business. You will utilize your expertise in SQL, Python, and data tools to support existing delivery responsibilities, automate manual workflows, and optimize our data portfolio managed by the Ads CATS team. Your contributions will directly influence audience segmentation, campaign performance, and strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years) in a relevant business/domain
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Data Manipulation, and Data Analysis
  • 2+ years of experience applying Python (NumPy, Pandas, other common libraries) programming to solve business challenges
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments, especially on large or complex projects

Responsibilities

  • Utilize internal tooling to manage the day-to-day operations of building audiences used for off-platform advertising
  • Write efficient SQL queries to enable custom audience requests and troubleshoot issues within Snowflake or other data warehouses
  • Optimize queries for performance and maintainability to ensure data retrieval efficiency
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and patterns impacting off-platform audiences
  • Collaborate with the core CATS team to research and implement new audience segmentation methodologies
  • Execute Shell/Python scripts via command line tools to automate workflows and tasks related to audience enablement
  • Support product development by working with CATS developers to perform technical QA on automation tools and frameworks
  • Provide feedback, design recommendations, and feature requests to enhance data automation and analysis processes
  • Continuously evaluate operational processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to operational effectiveness
