Pantera Capital is the first institutional investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $4.8bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem.

Pantera is hiring an Operations Associate to reconcile holdings and cash across custodians, exchanges, and counterparties while managing transactions and fund administration. This role will also support deal closings, maintain investment records, and assist with audits and compliance. This role requires presence at least three days a week in our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliations:
    • Reconcile holdings between internal records and custodians, exchanges, and capitalization tables.
    • Reconcile brokerage cash between internal records and counterparties.


  • Transaction Management:
    • Capture trades for OTC transactions, new equity investments, and corporate actions.
    • Coordinate and execute deal closings, including preparation of wire transfers for funding and account movements.


  • Fund & Investment Administration:
    • Maintain and update the security master for all fund positions.
    • Maintain and update vesting schedules for token investments.


  • Audit & Compliance Support:
    • Assist with annual audit preparation, including handling audit confirmations and facilitating audit-related queries
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of buy-side crypto operations experience.
  • Familiarity with fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, and settlement cycles in crypto and/or traditional finance.
  • SQL or database experience for reconciliation and control building.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation (3+ years), including pandas, SQL, API integrations
  • Proactive problem-solver who escalates breaks quickly but can also dig in to resolve independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented, able to bridge trading, finance, and operations groups.
  • Comfortable in a fast-changing environment with evolving counterparties and infrastructure.

Compensation:



$110,000 - $130,000 USD*

  • Compensation range is provided as an estimate and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
