Take2 Consulting is seeking an Intermediate NOSC Technician / Network Administrator to support a high-profile DoD contract. This role is part of a 24/7/365 operations environment and requires shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The candidate will provide system and network administration support, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient availability of DTRA’s IT services and capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, manage, troubleshoot, fix/repair, install security patches, and communicate the health of IT infrastructures.
  • Support Tier I–III system, networking, and engineering personnel to ensure network troubleshooting efforts.
  • Oversee real-time monitoring of global enterprise networks using DoD-approved tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • Develop and enforce operational procedures, incident response workflows, and escalation protocols.
  • Interface with Mission Partners, DISA, Joint Forces, and Combatant Commands on network status and impacts.
  • Prepare and deliver operational briefs, after-action reports (AARs), and executive summaries to senior leadership.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues via tickets, deskside, or remotely as necessary.
  • Correlate events and incidents for management of IT Services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to DTRA personnel by assisting with IT-related issues.
  • Document and communicate degradations or outages to customers and assist with resolution.
  • Follow ITSM and ITIL processes to ensure quality services and prompt issue resolution.
  • Utilize Remedy for queue and work management, ensuring compliance with SLA commitments.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of experience, OR Master’s degree and 6–10 years of experience in network operations, help desk, or IT support (experience may substitute for degree).
    • Minimum 4+ years’ direct NOSC/Network Administrator experience.
    • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required at time of consideration.
    • Must possess Security+ or equivalent certification prior to start.
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, etc.).
    • Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.
    • Proficient in Active Directory and managing user accounts/security groups.
    • Experience with Remedy Ticket system for incident management and reporting.
    • Strong problem-solving and oral/written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment with attention to detail.
