As a Network Administrator, you will support secure network technologies within a dynamic and security-focused IT environment. Responsibilities include provisioning, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure. You will use network monitoring tools to proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Additionally, you'll analyze network performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security across the network environment.
Network Administrator – 2nd/3rd Shift
Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM or 11:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI)
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support network performance, availability, and security using NOC tools
- Respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
- Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Apply security patches and maintain system configurations
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and asset inventories
- Perform security audits and analyze network traffic for anomalies
- Investigate security incidents and implement remediation measures
- Work directly with users to resolve connectivity and network-related issues
- Support Cisco-based network environments
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years in network operations, administration, or a NOC environment
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, etc.)
- Familiarity with IT service management and incident response frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Security+, or equivalent
- Experience in secure, high-compliance IT environments
