We’re Hiring: Senior Implementation Engineer (Telecom) | Doha, Qatar
We are looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer to join our Deployment team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical specialist and on-site leader for the dark fiber network rollout projects. You will also supervise contractor teams and field work to ensure the execution of all cabling activities meets technical specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise contractor/vendor teams during project implementation.
- Ensure the quality and timely completion of work according to the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
- Track project progress, escalate delays, and ensure timely completion within purchase order time frames.
- Review and update weekly reports and trackers (PAC, WCOs, materials, etc.) with accurate data.
- Coordinate with the Design team for FRR and LLD approvals.
- Manage material inspections at the warehouse and project acceptance activities until handover.
- Hold coordination meetings with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor site materials to avoid shortages or missed items.
- Manage and coordinate all necessary site access, Permit-to-Work (PTW) with relevant entities to achieve project milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive hands-on experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role in OSP fiber networks.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced technical expertise in dark fiber cabling, splicing, and termination.
- Proficiency with testing equipment (e.g., OTDR & LSPM).
- Expertise in on-site quality assurance and verification.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Strong time management and communication skills, detail oriented and accountable.
