About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated React.js developer to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you’ll design and build user interfaces and data visualisations for modern web applications. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll work closely with designers and backend developers to create responsive, engaging dashboards, while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop User Interfaces: Build and refine user interfaces with React.js, ensuring performance and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
• Reusable Components: Create and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries.
• State Management: Manage state within components using hooks or state management libraries like Redux.
• Collaboration: Work with UX/UI designers to translate mockups and wireframes into functional, interactive elements.
• Optimization: Improve components for speed, scalability, and performance.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.
• Testing: Implement unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
• Documentation: Document code and maintain version control for smooth collaboration.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot, debug, and suggest improvements as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a React.js developer with a portfolio of relevant projects.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and modern front-end practices.
• Experience with common React.js workflows (Flux, Redux).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authentication (e.g., JWT).
• Comfortable using Git for version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with data or graph visualisations.
• Bonus: familiarity with Next.js, Crossfilter, or AntV G6.
