At the heart of modern rail infrastructure, our Traction Power Systems unit delivers cutting-edge DC and AC traction substations, protection systems, power conversion and digital monitoring solutions. Join us to shape the future of sustainable mobility with technology that keeps cities and countries moving. For the expansion of our team, we're looking for a validation test engineer to join our small, welcoming team in Geneva. Together, we cover four exciting products that help keep public transportation safe and reliable. You'll work closely with us to design, build and maintain test systems, and to validate the quality of our devices.
We value good humor, empathy, and open collaboration — we solve problems together, share knowledge freely, and always keep a positive, down-to-earth attitude.
Main Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining test benches, both hardware and software.
- Creating intuitive HMIs for testing purposes.
- Running software validation on a variety of products.
- Writing clear test cases (using Squash) and documenting results in reports or wikis.
- Keeping production benches running smoothly, and helping out on small prototype setups.
- Working hands-on with electrical schematics and basic electrotechnical tasks.
- Using tools like Python, Git and the NI tool suite — plus maybe some C#, LabVIEW or similar, according to the need and you what you see makes more sense.
- Making sure everything meets railway and electrical standards.
- Keeping your work well organized with proper version control.
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in product validation containing electronics.
- You're proactive and enjoy finding solutions, not just problems.
- You like working in a team where everyone supports each other.
- You communicate clearly and bring ideas to the table.
- You're practical, reliable, and keep your feet on the ground.
