About 4QT:
At 4QT we design and build hybrid and electric propulsion systems for rugged environments, partnering with industry and academia to help reduce CO₂ emissions. Join us and get hands-on experience integrating our cutting-edge drivetrain technology into the next generation of heavy equipment.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the selection and sourcing of key electric components (motors, inverters, HV batteries, power electronics).
- Support the design and documentation of HV power distribution systems, including wiring diagrams, connectors, and layouts.
- Help configure and commission the electric drivetrain, working closely with experienced engineers to ensure smooth system integration.
- Participate in system testing and troubleshooting during prototype builds and field tests, learning how design decisions affect real-world performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational study (Lehre) prior to your studies in any related technical field
- Currently pursuing or completed a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Exposure to electric or hybrid vehicle projects through university courses, labs, student teams, or personal projects.
- Basic understanding of electric motors, inverters, and power electronics (academic-level knowledge is fine).
- Interest in high-voltage systems and safety principles, with willingness to learn and work under supervision.
- Curiosity about CAN communication and use of basic diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope).
- Knowledge of Python, C/C++, or MATLAB is a plus but not required.
- Motivated to learn, proactive, and eager to collaborate in a hands-on engineering environment.
