Job Description

We are excited to announce that we have newly created opportunities in our Transformation Practice’s Defence team, located in Canberra. As a client-facing consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in providing the best possible advice, services and support to help our Defence clients achieve their primary role of defending Australia and its national interests, promoting security and stability, and supporting the Australian community as directed by the Government.

We are looking for passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds who can bring new perspectives to support our clients to address critical challenges.

Our Execution & Enablement team in the Transformation practice are experts in the establishment and management of complex programs across distributed teams from work definition, planning, reporting to quality assurance, and contract management. We work across elements including:

  • Benefits definition, tracking and measurement​
  • Program and portfolio office​
  • Strategic planning linked to Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)​
  • Agile delivery (incl. JIRA expertise)​
  • Delivery governance, risk and issue management

As a permanent member of our team, you’ll have the chance to develop your consulting skills and experience, and advance your career as a trusted advisor to Defence. You’ll also benefit from mentorship by industry leaders, helping you build on your existing expertise.

We are seeking candidates for roles who are at different stages of their consulting career, from Senior Associates through to Managers.



Qualifications

As a Senior Associate, you’ll bring your expertise and drive to help deliver impactful outcomes across Defence, Government, and complex environments. You’ll be trusted to lead, analyse, and support while mentoring others along the way.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within Defence, Government, or complex programs
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A track record of successfully leading projects and driving results
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
  • Proven ability to take ownership of project deliverables and see them through
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Experience in support planning, reporting, and governance frameworks
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring junior team members

As a Manager, you’ll help to lead high-performing teams and shape strategic outcomes for clients in Defence, Government, and complex sectors. You’ll be the go-to for delivery, and client success.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects and programs in Defence or Government settings
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
  • Ability to lead project teams with a focus on quality, timeliness, and impact
  • Strategic thinking to develop and implement solutions aligned with client goals
  • Strong relationship management skills with a proactive approach to client needs

Certifications such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, and Scrum Master (e.g., CSM or PSM) will be highly regarded.
