Role Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Analyst to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence dashboards using Power BI by consulting a range of senior stakeholders to gather requirements. Alongside strong Power BI skills we also need the candidate to have strong hands on experience with SQL.


Contract Summary

Rate: based on experience (day rate)

Duration: 6 months

Work model: Hybrid

Location: Sydney CBD & Western Sydney office


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualisations according to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Optimise performance of Power BI solutions by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of Power BI solutions, ensuring accuracy and reliability.


Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Power BI Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with data visualisation best practices and principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
