Employment Type: 6 month contract

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong project management skills to join our team urgently. This individual will play a key role in supporting our IT SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) program by managing issues related to generic accounts, infrastructure, and OS/BD logs. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in system administration, infrastructure security, and risk management, particularly in the context of IT SOX compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Generic Accounts Issues: Address and resolve issues related to OS/BD accounts where passwords have not been changed for an extended period. Collaborate with system administrators to ensure security.
  • Support Infrastructure and Log Analysis: Work with various Operating Systems (Windows, Linux) and Databases (SQL, Oracle) to analyze infrastructure logs and assess security risks.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects aimed at remediating IT SOX compliance risks. This includes evaluating password management, account security, and auditing procedures for infrastructure accounts.
  • Remediation of OS/DB Accounts: Collaborate with system administrators to determine the best method for remediating generic accounts (password changes, log reviews, etc.) to ensure compliance with IT SOX requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate and document risks of inappropriate access to accounts, especially in relation to IT SOX compliance. Determine if such access could result in data changes or the deletion of activity logs.
  • Activity Log Reviews: Assess if adequate activity logs exist for each account, and work with the team to define a process for ongoing monitoring of logs for SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate on Security Best Practices: Work closely with system admins to define the best practices for monitoring and securing accounts. Ensure that password changes and access audits are executed effectively.
  • Compliance Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on the status of account remediation and risk assessments to IT leadership and audit teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in data analysis, IT infrastructure, and project management.
  • Experience working with OS/BD logs (Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle) and infrastructure-level systems.
  • Strong understanding of IT SOX compliance and risk management related to system access and account security.
  • Proven track record in managing project-based tasks with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Solid analytical skills to assess security risks and develop remediation plans.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams, including system administrators, to ensure account security and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the progress and outcomes of remediation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls and audits.
  • Previous experience in log analysis and security reviews.
