Green Gem is partnering with a growing business for the position of Senior Product Manager.
The Senior Product Manager will take the leadership in creating and executing the product strategy and roadmap for their assigned product area. They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and the senior leadership team to create innovative products that meet the needs of customers, are profitable, and drive business growth. This includes leading a team of designers, and junior product owners, where required.
As an Individual Contributor – the role holder will be accountable for the success of their product, from ideation all through to launch and market fit.
Key responsibilities:
- Customer Focus: Be customer obsessed, with the ability to always articulate how everything we do would impact our (external or internal) customers. Become an expert on the customer segment we are serving, and acting as an internal ‘voice of customer’ during the product development process.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points. Advocate for the customer throughout the product development process and ensure products are designed with the customer in mind. Take leadership in ensuring that the product delivered truly meets the need of our customers and demonstrating these through clearly defined OKRs
- Alignment with the Product Strategy: Develop and implement an execution plan for delivering our comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's goals, vision, mission and objectives. This includes taking the leadership on customer engagement and discovery – including conducting market research, identifying customer needs, and evaluating competitor products and strategies.
- Define the product vision, target market, and value proposition. Product Design and Development:
- Lead the product design and development process, including ideation, conceptualisation, prototyping, testing, and launch. Ensure that products are user-friendly, scalable, and meet the highest standards of quality.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and improve existing products.
- Product Roadmap Management: Ability to apply the MVP approach of delivery early and often and translating this into how you prioritise your work and features. Create and manage the product roadmap to ensure timely delivery of products and features.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap for your relevant Product area, ensuring that it is aligned with the company's strategic goals and meets the needs of customers. This includes defining product requirements, prioritising features based on customer needs, business value, and feasibility, and managing product releases.
- Product Marketing and Sales Support: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth. Act as the representative of the Product and Engineering function in client activities such as sales calls and conferences
- Product Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing product squad, including designers, and junior product owners, however with the ability to work autonomously across all stages of the product development lifecycle if required.
- Lead by example. Develop and mentor team members to reach their full potential by setting clear goals and expectations, and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Stakeholder Management: Work collaboratively with other departments, including sales, compliance, trading desk, technology, marketing, operations, finance and customer support to ensure that products are developed and launched on time, within budget, and meet the company's standards of quality. Ability to talk confidently provide communicate update and champion your product internally at various forums (including company-wide updates and working groups)
- Product Analytics: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objects and Key Results (OKRs) to measure product success and ensure alignment with senior leadership.
- Analyse data-driven insights and user feedback to measure product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-informed decisions about product development and iterate on the product strategy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure product compliance with industry regulations and standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and adjust the product strategy as needed.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.
- Encourage team members to think outside the box and explore new ideas and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to drive product innovation and differentiation.
Qualifications
Essential
- The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Fintech product development, strategy, and management.
- Track record of growing successful, customer-centric digital products in a fast growing technology company
- Ability to communicate clearly, in a structured way, and persuasively to a wide range of audiences.
Desirable
- Data driven, commercially savvy, passionate about metrics, and intellectually honest about how your work is performing and driven to continuously improve it.
- Advanced knowledge of experimentation stacks
- B2B Saas product management experience
- Knowledge of European cross-border payments / e-wallets
- Experience of working for a start-up/scale up and being able to demonstrate products that you have owned from inception and taking this to the market.
