Our client, a leading Irish insurance company, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their underwriting team. This role is all about turning data into insights that drive better business and product decisions. You’ll work closely with product managers, finance, and other teams to deliver reporting, dashboards, and analysis that really make an impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reports to track performance
- Analyse data to support pricing, product, and underwriting decisions
- Run exploratory and ad-hoc analysis to uncover trends and opportunities
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all reporting and analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams on business and underwriting projects
Must have
- 3+ years in data analytics, ideally in insurance or financial services
- Degree in maths, statistics, computer science, or similar
- Strong SQL skills and experience with a visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau)
- Proficiency with Python, R, or similar tools
- Solid understanding of insurance products and underwriting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Would like
- Experience preparing product and pricing reports
- Comfortable presenting complex data in a simple, clear way
- Track record of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Desirable
- Knowledge of risk analysis and regulatory compliance in insurance
- Experience improving reporting processes and data quality
Salary: €55,000–€60,000 + bonus + benefits + (Hybrid, 2 days a week onsite)
