Cloud Operations Engineer | Amsterdam | Up to €55,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
Hydras are working on behalf of a global SaaS provider seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join its team in Amsterdam. This hands-on role is central to maintaining the company's proprietary cloud platform, ensuring its smooth 24/7 operation. The platform hosts a wide range of innovative applications used by millions worldwide where reliability and performance is critical
The successful candidate will work across network operations and cloud infrastructure, managing incidents, troubleshooting, and supporting deployments. This environment is distinct from hyperscale public clouds, offering exposure to a unique, self-built stack and in-house automation and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain large-scale cloud infrastructure within a global SaaS environment.
- Handle alerts, incidents, and outages, troubleshooting at network, system, and application levels.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application engineering teams to support deployments and resolve performance issues.
- Utilize and develop in-house automation and monitoring tools for provisioning, configuration, and orchestration.
- Support cloud deployments and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption.
Experience:
- Experience with networks in a mixed-vendor environments
- Exposure to cloud or SaaS environments, ideally within an operations or NOC function.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar); training on in-house equivalents will be provided.
- Solid background in Linux systems administration.
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.) are a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
