Job Title: Lead Cloud/DevOps Engineer

Location: Germany-based (Remote with quarterly meetings in Berlin; travel expenses covered)

Language Requirements: Fluent in German and English

Salary: Up to €85,000 base, with potential commissions for client acquisition

We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud and DevOps professional to take on a leadership role within our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to transition from a technical role into management while maintaining hands-on involvement in exciting cloud-based projects.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 9 engineers (1 senior), fostering collaboration and technical growth.
• DevOps Expertise: Oversee cloud and DevOps activities, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Customer Collaboration: Act as a key contact for clients, providing technical insights and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates with consulting experience will have an advantage.
• Remote Operations: Work remotely with occasional in-person team meetings in Berlin.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in development and DevOps.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership Ambition: A genuine interest in moving into a managerial role, providing mentorship, and guiding the growth of a high-performing team.
