We’re now looking for a Senior Game Designer who can bring fresh perspectives on monetization, balancing, and live operations to help scale our next big title.
Role Overview
As a Senior Game Designer, you’ll be the go-to person for numbers, balance, and monetization strategy across our flagship merge & city-building game. You’ll collaborate closely with the design and product team to suggest improvements, analyze data, and shape live events that keep players engaged and spending sustainably.
This is not about reinventing the genre — it’s about deeply understanding casual players, analyzing performance, and tweaking mechanics to maximize fun and long-term retention. You’ll join a small but passionate team, where your voice will directly influence how millions of players experience our worlds.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with game designers and product managers to evolve a live merge & city-builder.
- Analyze game data and identify opportunities to optimize monetization, progression, and retention.
- Suggest and design new events, live ops features, and in-game economies, with clear rationale backed by experience and analytics.
- Balance timers, currencies, and energy systems to drive both fun and sustainable revenue.
- Propose and monitor A/B tests for monetization and balancing strategies.
- Help define which data we should be tracking to surface better insights.
- Stay on top of casual game market trends, bringing in fresh learnings from the most successful titles.
You Bring
- Proven experience designing for casual mobile games, ideally in merge, simulation, farm, city-builder, or casual strategy genres.
- Strong background in monetization, economy balancing, and events design for live games.
- Solid understanding of casual player behavior and free-to-play retention mechanics.
- Comfort with data and analytics, knowing how to interpret metrics and what to measure.
- Familiarity with Unity workflows to test and validate gameplay balancing.
- Clear, fluent English communication skills (spoken & written) to collaborate in an international team.
- A respectful, collaborative mindset — you value the audience, your teammates, and the craft of design.
Nice to Have
- Experience with merge mechanics specifically.
- Knowledge of micro-interactions, accessibility standards, or UI details that improve player delight.
- Prior work at a successful mobile game studio with demonstrable monetization results.
- Potential to grow into a leadership role as the studio scales.
