About This Opportunity

Ericsson Research Turkey, newly established in Istanbul, focuses on Networks and Security.
What You Will Do
- As a Researcher in Security, you will develop cutting-edge security concepts for 5G, 6G, IoT, and beyond. Your work will strengthen trust in future systems across topics such as Zero-Touch Security Management, Trustworthy/Adversarial AI, physical layer security, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Conduct advanced research in network, platform, and service security.
- Develop new concepts in physical layer security, Zero-Touch Security, ML/AI system security, Trustworthy/Adversarial AI, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Design and implement secure solutions and development processes.
- Collaborate with leading universities, customers, and partners.
- Contribute to standardization (e.g., 3GPP, security fora).
- Publish research results, file patents, and deliver proof-of-concepts.
- Transfer research outcomes to Ericsson business and product units.
- PhD, PhD candidate, or MSc (with relevant experience) in Electrical/Communication/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or AI.
- Strong knowledge of telecom systems and 6G enablers.
- Hands-on experience in security, cryptography, and AI/ML.
- Programming skills in Matlab, Python, C++, or Java; experience with NumPy, Scikit-learn.
- Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
- Background in wireless communications, including physical layer security (preferred), MIMO, RIS, or signal processing.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative mindset.
