Role Summary: The Data Scientist will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Processing
  • Extract, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance.
  • Analytics
  • Apply statistical methods to solve business problems.
  • Develop algorithms to optimize business processes (e.g., customer record segmentation, duplicate detection, recommendation for efficiency optimisation).
  • Visualization & Reporting
  • Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Translate complex results into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with project implementation teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to expedite data driven conclusions and opportunity areas.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Business Skills

  • Ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Publications or project work demonstrating data science applications.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy and robustness of conclusions basis data study.
  • Business value generated through data insights.
  • Timeliness and quality of reports and dashboards.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of data-driven solutions.
