Role Purpose

The People Specialist (Offboarding) is responsible for managing the full employee exit process in compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies. The role ensures smooth and professional offboarding experiences, accurate end-of-service settlements, and timely completion of all legal and internal requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance, safeguarding employer reputation, and supporting a positive employee experience at the exit stage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end offboarding process, including resignations, terminations, retirements, and end-of-contract cases.
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE Labor Law and GMG’s internal policies for all exit formalities.
  • Accurately calculate end-of-service benefits (EOSB), final settlements, and other statutory entitlements.
  • Coordinate with payroll, finance, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth and timely closure of employee accounts and benefits.
  • Prepare and issue exit-related documents (e.g., clearance forms, service certificates, NOCs).
  • Conduct exit formalities including exit interviews where applicable.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee offboarding data and ensure records are processed accurately in HR systems.
  • Work closely with PRO/Government Relations team to ensure visa cancellation and related formalities are completed within deadlines.
  • Generate and present reports on attrition, exit trends, and offboarding compliance to support HR analytics.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives related to employee experience, process optimization, and compliance improvements.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of HR operations experience with a focus on offboarding and exit formalities in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Labor Law, gratuity/end-of-service calculations, and statutory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems; SAP and SuccessFactors knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple exits simultaneously.
