The Singapore Business Product Management team (SG BPM) at Shopee empowers sellers and buyers from all over the world to sell and buy in the Singapore market. The SG product team is part of the SG team scope and is committed to providing Singapore buyers with the best e-commerce experience in the most cost-effective way. Positioned at the crossroads of Business, Operations, and Product, the team strives to improve the end-to-end user experience by creating innovative services to exceed users' expectations.

We are looking for self-driven individuals to join our team in shaping the future of e-commerce in Singapore. The stiff-neck competition and unique operating environment in the Singapore market makes this role a highly challenging and fulfilling one.

Job Description:

  • Engage the Singapore Shopee Express team and regional stakeholders to understand business requirements and explore any new strategic opportunities in cost experience enhancement and operational productivity
  • Identify opportunities for emerging technologies and process improvements; pilot proofs-of-concept in Singapore and scale successful solutions fleet-wide as appropriate; Develop and implement outcome-based products and roadmaps that align with strategic goals and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Work closely with functional leads on the details of the business context and impact evaluation. Deliver clear and comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (FRF or BRDs) with simplified product solution for business alignment and engineers’ reference
  • Plan the Shopee Express product roadmap based on the requirements gathered from internal and external stakeholders. Exercise sound judgement in prioritising product features in roadmap (based on data analysis of business value and impact, technical feasibility, development resource planning and implementation schedule)
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage live releases. Develop a rollout plan in alignment with business stakeholders, executing in a manner that mitigates potential risks. Maintain clear reporting on key risks and corresponding mitigation plans
  • Drive successful solution implementation and adoption with internal training, deployment planning, day-to-day support, feedback gathering, etc
  • Own the product lifecycle process - analysing data to gather insights on product adoption/improvements, tracking KPIs, and proposing further iterations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (Operations Management), Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Industrial System Engineering or other Engineering degrees or any related field
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding of business functions and/or information systems (such as information exchange, data structure) is a plus
  • Strong data analytical skills with proficiency in tools like SQL andPython is a plus
  • Able to communicate complex ideas concisely and effectively (both verbally and in writing), to stakeholders at all levels
  • Logical thinker and problem-solver. Must be an independent self-starter and a quick learner, with the diligence to follow through on complex projects
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple and competing priorities simultaneously
