MSSG is looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our Retail Business team. In this role, you will drive the design and enhancement of our digital platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences and intuitive interfaces. You will collaborate closely with business, product, and marketing teams to revamp application screens, develop engaging design concepts, and deliver impactful user journeys that meet both business objectives and client needs.

Job Description

• Market research on UI/UX best practices and competitors benchmarking.
• UI/UX design tweaks and design creation, modifications.
• Work with business to review and revamp application screens and designs.
• Work with designers, product, marketing, sales, research and other stakeholders where necessary.
• Evaluate, collect and write user requirements from a UI/UX perspective, collaborate with product developers.
• Create and own design concepts using FIGMA, sitemaps, process flows, storyboards, prototypes, present and test with relevant clients and stakeholders.
• Create and own graphic user interface elements such as icons, tabs, widgets, menus and so on.
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures, ensuring the content is suited for Maybank Securities by following internal design guidelines, and do not contravene any risk or legal guidelines.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong credentials in Marketing Communications, User Interface, and Experience Design.
• Basic understanding of, or interest in, capital markets would be a bonus.
• Demonstrates empathy, curiosity, analytical thinking, and sound reasoning skills.
• Good understanding of digital audience behavior and content consumption habits.
• Familiarity with wireframing, information architecture, and interactive design.
• Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills, with a strong command of English.
• Effective time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as you will be handling communications with internal stakeholders.
• Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
• Proactive, meticulous, team player, willingness to learn.

Pre-Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing Communications or a related field.
• Design & UX/UI certification required
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Prior experience in mobile app design will be an advantage.
• Experience and/or interest in Financial Institutions and Capital Markets will be a plus.
