Network Engineer – Cloud & Security

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in cloud networking, automation, and security infrastructure. This role will focus on designing, deploying, and managing network solutions across AWS and Azure environments, implementing and managing Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to enable scalable, secure, and automated network deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain secure and efficient network architecture across AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls including policies, VPNs, and threat/security services.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for repeatable and scalable deployments.

Develop network automation tools and scripts in Python to streamline operations, monitoring, and configuration management.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across hybrid cloud environments.

Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to align network infrastructure with business and compliance requirements.

Establish and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for network performance and security posture.

Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance standards, and high availability of network services.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on cloud and security.

Proven expertise in AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Global Accelerator, PrivateLink) and Azure Networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Firewall).

Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (Panorama, security policies, IPS/IDS, VPNs).

Proficiency with Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Programming skills with Python for network automation and integration.

Strong knowledge of routing, switching, DNS, BGP, VPN, and network security concepts.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Panorama).

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Palo Alto PCNSE.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments.

Knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, CNI plugins) and service meshes.

Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud network design.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
