Job description:

Part A: Job Specification Job Purpose
  • Provide technical support for all Offshore Expansion Sustainability & Startup department (OESS) and third-party projects, support deliverables and maintenance activities during dynamic commissioning, early operations and facilitate effective transition of projects into sustainable Producing Assets. Ensure the availability and reliability of the new turbo machinery packages in accordance with established procedure.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) 
  • Operate in a technical environment handling complex and critical turbine control systems. The major challenge is to ensure efficient call out support to resolve unplanned disruptions of these machines.
  • Provide advice to Operations for abnormal gas turbine operation behaviour.
  • Provide ongoing advice related to turbine control, New Technical Information Letter (TIL), Notice Information Confirmation (NIC) implementation, New Technology application and enhancement improvements.
  • Support preparation and execution of planned and unplanned gas turbines shutdowns from I&C discipline.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
  • Perform function testing of gas turbine, compressor and pump control and logic functions. Participate in the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and other applicable Project System Completion activities related to new control systems.
  • Supervise the execution of gas turbines preventative and corrective maintenance quality program and support operations and asset maintenance with day-to-day troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot control and machinery issues and trips related gas turbine, compressor, and pumps. Respond to callouts related to gas turbine and compressor operation issues at all times.
  • Coordinate, supervise and support machinery start-ups with the aim of safe, reliable, and efficient initial operation of gas turbines and its associated systems.
  • Support engineering in feasibility studies and implementation of eMOC recommendations. Support Cyber-Security team to implement hardening and antivirus update within Human Interface Machine (HMIs).
  • Provide inputs to Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) team for improving system maintenance strategies.
  • Participate and contribute to Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), risk screening and Formal Risk Assessment (FRA).
  • Provide inputs to the budget, IT demand plan and technical training plan etc. to contribute to essential information and data for more informed, accurate and effective plans.
  • Provide inputs to requirements of Spares and raise Stock Amendment Request (SAR) as per requirements.
  • Support review and development of maintenance procedures and provides in house technical trainings to develop competency of other Engineers/Technicians as a part of technical competency program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
  • 4 years’ experience in gas turbine control system applied in oil and gas or energy sector.
  • Extensive experience in gas turbine control system (GE, Siemens, Solar). Knowledge on Turbo-Compressor and Turbo-Generator with DLN system operating philosophy, challenges, and constraints.
  • Good knowledge on Surge Logic, Load Sharing and Capacity Control application for centrifugal compressors.
  • Experience in instrumentation used in turbo machinery application.
  • Knowledge of distributed controls system and emergency shutdown systems.
  • Ability to interpret and troubleshoot logic function, interface issues.
  • Experience in Fire & Gas Detection Systems for gas turbine enclosures and Water Mist suppression system.
  • General understanding of hazardous area classification and international standards.
  • Exposure to international standards and best practices of oil and gas industry.
