What You Will Do

As Service Engineer – Fire Systems, you will play a critical role in supporting service operations in Doha, Qatar. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager for Service Operations Fire, you will be responsible for executing service, maintenance, and retrofit activities related to Fire Protection and Detection Systems within Building Technologies and Solutions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Coordinating on-site activities among customers, sub-contractors, supervisors, and both field and office teams.
  • Tracking and implementing scheduled planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Managing assigned L&M and POC jobs, including testing, commissioning, and providing timely progress reports.
  • Submitting required reports promptly to the office team for job invoicing.

You will be part of a dynamic team that fosters technical growth and project execution excellence in the fire systems domain.

How You Will Do It

As a key contributor to the service team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to ensure smooth execution of fire system jobs.
  • Collecting updates on ongoing jobs and reporting weekly to the Operations Manager.
  • Following up on billing for completed jobs to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Coordinating timely order placement of parts/materials and tracking deliveries.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders to ensure transparency, timely reporting, and swift resolution of site-related issues.

Your work will focus on the technical aspects of fire detection and suppression systems. While formal training will be provided, much of your learning will occur in the field through mentorship and self-study.

You will also conduct system operation training and prepare handover documentation to ensure a seamless transition for customers, all while upholding the highest safety standards for yourself and subcontractors.

Required

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fire protection/detection systems or a mechanical systems background.
  • Strong customer focus with a result-oriented and self-motivated mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse working styles.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
