Your challenge
As a product manager supply planning, you define and communicate a clear global, cross-industry product roadmap for (a part of) our supply planning product that aligns with OMP’s global road map. This is carried out in close collaboration with our product and software architects. You capture market needs, formulate value propositions, and translate these insights into clear functional requirements that drive development work. You set and follow up on development priorities, provide guidance to product owners, and assure fluent stakeholder communication, both internally and externally.

As a Product Manager, you’ll join our Product Development organization. Product Development consists of specialized teams that focus on a specific domain such as demand and supply planning, user experience, data science, integration, solvers, and more. These teams drive our product road map, share OMP’s vision and expertise and create smart, robust, and scalable software solutions that solve our customers’ complex supply chain planning challenges.

Your challenge
As a product manager supply planning, you define and communicate a clear global, cross-industry product roadmap for (a part of) our supply planning product that aligns with OMP’s global road map. This is carried out in close collaboration with our product and software architects. You Are Responsible For
- Developing deep expertise in our supply planning product offering across our key industries.
- Building a vision and roadmap for (a part of) our supply planning product, based on feedback from customers and our Commercial, Delivery and Industry organizations.
- Translating the vision and roadmap into clear high-level requirements and designs, in collaboration with product owners and architects.
- Leading product owners in using high-level requirements and designs to build an actionable and prioritized backlog, that development teams can execute.
- Framing and explaining the ‘why’ and ‘why now’ of new developments to fuel company-wide understanding, enthusiasm, and support.
- Validating the delivery of value by our development squads.
- Providing expert support to our Delivery and Industry organizations in your domain of expertise.
- Managing the expectations of stakeholders, both internal and external.

About You
Essential talents and qualifications:
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Applied Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar. Experience can substitute for a degree.
- Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in product management for software products.
- A working knowledge of supply chain concepts and supply planning solutions.
- Experience in leveraging agile software development methodologies to ensure value creation.
- Strong affinity with IT systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A desire to take ownership and deliver results.
- A passion for improving software solutions and delivering tangible added value to our customers.
- Basic programming skills.
- Affinity with mathematical modeling or machine learning.
- Prior experience in one of our core industries.
- Relevant experience in cloud-native technologies, streaming frameworks, service-oriented architecture, and API development.
