Senior Project Manager – IT Systems
📍 Brussels (Onsite, Full-Time) | 💶 €500–€550 per day | 📅 Initial 6-Month Contract (with extension potential)
Start Date: November 16th, 2025
Clearance Required: UK Security Check (SC) or NATO Secret

Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and strategically minded Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact IT transformation initiatives within a complex international environment. This role offers the opportunity to directly support NATO’s mission-critical operations, driving innovation and modernisation across vital programmes.
As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with NATO’s strategic objectives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical experts, you will ensure outcomes that deliver measurable value and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver projects in line with NATO regulations, policies, and governance standards.
- Translate client requirements into comprehensive business cases and actionable project plans.
- Develop procurement strategies, manage risks, and maintain clear KPIs and cashflow visibility.
- Ensure delivery within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Execute quality assurance functions essential to successful project outcomes.
- Supervise and guide project teams, providing leadership and oversight at all stages.
- Maintain transparent and timely communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Recognised Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Professional project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP).
- Track record of managing projects in large public, governmental, or international organisations.
- Technical experience in one or more of the following:
- IT transformation and modern delivery methodologies (Agile, Change Management, Business Process).
- Cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science, or IT modernisation.
- Communication and network systems (design, implementation, multimedia, C4ISR).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as ServiceNow and collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with government or international procurement and acquisition processes.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Project management automation ( ServiceNow ) and work collaboration tools.
- Experience of NATO or governmental acquisition policy procedures.
