This role is a hybrid position
This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Paris office location and should expect to be in office approximately 3 days per week.
What You’ll Do:
In the Sonos Voice Control team we design the future of AI based interactions to power music control and content discovery for Sonos customers on any control surfaces (Sonos hardware, Sonos Application, Sonos Voice Control).
We are seeking an experienced ML engineer to join the TextML team, focused on building the next generation of Sonos Voice Control. This role involves multiple aspects of the machine learning lifecycle, including data generation, model training, and evaluation using cutting-edge methods. While the team's primary focus is on developing the core assistant for Sonos Voice Control, we also contribute to various downstream components that incorporate machine learning. Collaboration with teams outside of machine learning is a key part of this role, as our work supports a broad range of products and features. Additionally, the team not only develops machine learning models but also maintains the inference library used in production to deliver a seamless experience to our users. As such, strong software development skills are essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Need:
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in ML development
- Very strong proficiency in python and deep learning frameworks like pytorch, jax, tensorflow.
- Track record with NLP projects and deep understanding machine learning and transformer-based architectures.
- Knowledge of industry-level software development practices (CI/CD, Docker, AWS, git)
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Ability to collaborate with other teams.
- Product oriented attitude, deliver-first mindset
- Experience with Rust
- PhD in a related topic
- Previous experience with LLM based systems
- Previous experience with information retrieval
- Experience in speech
- Experience with building microservices
- Proficient in French.
