For a global customer close to Valenciennes, I am searching for a freelance/portage Network Engineer to provide L2/L3 support.

NAC (Cisco ISE)/ Wi-Fi (Cisco 9800) and switching (cisco catalyst) are the priorities. DNAC (Catalyst Center) knowledge is also good to have.

Responsibilities

• Be the SPOC for all network related questions of the client
• LAN management on Cisco routing and switching devices
• Manage, develop and troubleshoot the Cisco wireless LAN in the factory and the offices areas
• Network Access Control with Cisco ISE
• Provide load balancing services with F5
• Update firewall rules on Palo Alto supporting network changes
• Monitor and escalate WAN related issues and provide communication
• Support the business in projects that require network services
• Plan and manage network change projects (e.g. Network segmentation)
• Provide physical installation or troubleshooting support when required
• Plan and manage HW and software upgrades
• Work with Service Now (ticket system), following ITIL principles
• Join your colleagues to perform on-call duty, usually one week per month
• Work outside business hours and on weekends if the tasks require it (e.g. for network maintenance)

Profile

• Experience in either IT provider organizations or large internal customer IT organisations
• Strong experience with Routing, Switching devices, Wireless controllers, Network Access Control
• At least 5 years’ experience in LAN management
• Knowledge of Cisco, Solarwinds and Orion is expected for troubleshooting issues
• Good knowledge of F5
• Experience in connectivity for IoT devices is a bonus
• Wi-fi/Wireless experience
• Practical experience in Project planning and Change management
• Experience of the EMC environment
• Experience in crisis management

ONSITE POLICY: 2-3 days per week

HOURS PER WEEK: 40
