- Development & application of innovative algorithms in the field of machine learning, specifically with focus on decision support in medicine and healthcare in the wider sense
- Active support of ongoing research projects in generative AI for real-world data applications in medicine
- Presentation of results via scientific publications, workshops and conferences as well as to external collaboration partners
- Active support of team leader in terms of acquisition of new projects and technology transfer into pharma and biotech industry
- Active collaboration with the support of other team members, for example regarding publications and code development
- PhD (preferred) and M.Sc. with excellent grades in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biomathematics or a similar subject

- Clear understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts underlying Data Science
- Strong passion for Data Science with documented experiences plus an equally strong and documented interest in biomedicine
- Experience with generative AI, specifically transformer architectures, is a strong plus
- Documented experience with relevant biomedical data types, e.g. longitudinal clinical data studies, clinical real-world data such as electronic health records, or data from digital health applications
- Strong programming skills in python and demonstratable experience with Tensor Flow and / or PyTorch
- Ability to work independently
- Very good English speaking and writing skills
- Good German language skills are a plus
- Very good communication skills
