We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Technology Risk and Compliance to join our leadership team on an interim basis and drive excellence across our global technology operations.

About the Role

As Head of Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our technology landscape is secure, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards across all markets. You’ll lead a high-performing team, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and influence strategic decisions that impact the entire organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve our Tech governance, risk and compliance practices.
• Develop and implement a robust IT risk management framework.
• Ensure operational compliance with key regulations (e.g. GDPR, payment regulations).
• Chair the Technology Risk & Audit Forum and act as Data Protection SME.
• Oversee IT General Controls and regulatory frameworks across all countries of operation.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on risk posture, compliance status, and mitigation strategies.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in risk reporting, executive metrics, and control testing.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership in technology risk and compliance within complex environments.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (COBIT, NIST-CSF, ISO, SOX, GDPR, CCPA).
• Strong experience in payment regulations and audit management.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in retail or similar fast-paced industries is a plus.
• Passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a positive culture.
