Data Scientist

We are a fast growing mobile game developer based in Istanbul.

Our team comprises experienced gaming designers, marketing, data and technology experts as well as successful business builders. FOMO stands for Fear Of Missing Out, which defines our product vision and culture.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Data Scientist.

What will I do?

As a Data Scientist you will

• Proactively develop new analyses to better understand our players’ behaviour and the performance of our games
• Provide insights to support decision making for the game
• Visualize analysis results and present to all audiences, from senior stakeholders to junior colleagues and non-technical teammates
• Develop analysis strategy and perform analysis of complex scenarios and AB-tests, both systematically and on a one-off basis
• Take part in ETL/ELT processes ( using SQL or python) for new data needs and maintain & improve data quality

What skills/background do I need?

Although we are open to diverse backgrounds, we see that this role best fits candidates that have

• 1+ years of experience as data analyst/data scientist
• Proficiency using SQL to extract and transform large data-sets
• Experience with at least one visualization tool (Tableau, Domo, Power BI)
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Understanding of statistical concepts such as sampling, distributions, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, statistical significance
• Good command of English, both writing and speaking

Nice to haves:

• Experience in Mobile Gaming
• Experience in B2C businesses
• Experience and understanding of A/B testing methodologies and analysis
• Familiarity with Git, Snowflake, Domo, BigQuery, Airflow, AWS
