Graphic Design Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Human Centered Design Specialist / Graphics Engineer to support the design and production of data-centric information products. The role will focus on creating visually engaging and consistent reports, infographics, and templates, while ensuring adherence to branding standards. The specialist will work closely with data analysts and technical teams to transform complex data into clear, impactful visuals and will progressively take on responsibilities in human-centered design and UI/UX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and layout of standard descriptive reports, templates, and related products in multiple languages (English, French, Arabic).
• Develop and maintain a graphic charter to ensure consistency and branding across all information products.
• Design and pilot innovative data-driven products, such as infographics, dashboards, and short reports, and scale their production following partner endorsement.
• Support the automation of product development using tools such as Adobe scripting, data merge, and integration with R/Python outputs.
• Ensure all reports, visualizations, and templates meet graphic design and branding standards.
• Collaborate with data analysts to translate complex datasets into compelling, human-centered designs.
• Contribute to evolving the role towards UI/UX design, including user research, wireframing, and prototyping of digital information products.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing infographics and data-centric reports.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, including automation with data merge and scripting.
• Solid experience in data analysis and visualization using R and Python.
• Experience with GIS/cartography, preferably with ArcGIS Pro.
• Knowledge of Power BI desirable.
• Background or prior exposure to public health desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to deliver high-quality outputs on tight timelines.
