We are looking for a skilled and communicative IT Security Specialist to join the Operational Security Center (OSC) at SEB in Stockholm. This is a key role where you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in security projects and initiatives across the bank, helping to strengthen SEB’s overall security posture.
About The Role
As an IT Security Specialist, you will work hands-on with technical security while also driving improvements and implementing new services. You will contribute to the continuous development of our operational security capabilities — including penetration testing, vulnerability management, incident response/CTI, and security engineering, while engaging with stakeholders to translate findings into actionable advice.
To Thrive In This Role, We Believe You Have
- A background in hands-on security work — from scripting and building to operating, analyzing and troubleshooting.
- Fluency in English and Swedish.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and monitoring tools.
- A solid understanding of common attack vectors, security vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM/SOAR, network security solutions, and endpoint detection and response (XDR) systems.
- Practical experience in security incident handling, analysis, and response.
- The ability to translate technical findings into clear and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive mindset with strong ownership, a commitment to continuous improvement, and experience in driving initiatives and delivering presentations.
- Agile and modern ways of working
- A flat hierarchy and openness to share ideas, opinions and points of views
- Extensive training and learning opportunities
- Challenging, cutting-edge work
- Hybrid work model, meaning remote work is possible up to 2 days/week
