What You Will Do

At Technology, Foundational Producs you will play a key role in shaping the future of Software within Volvo Group. As Frontend Tech Lead, you will architect, design and develop reusable, modular frontend solutions that will accelerate digital transformation across our organization.

Your future team

You will join a central advisory team that collaborates with product teams to define and build the digital foundation including reference architectures, software components and starter kits to accelerate software development and to bring value at scale.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable front-end reference solutions for SPAs and microfrontends.
• Develop and maintain reusable software components and starter kits in React, Angular, NodeJs technolgies.
• Drive for new features in collaboration with product owners and design teams, from research and design to software programming.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-native frontend development approaches.
• Ensure solutions comply with DevSecOps practises and Security standards.
• Mentor and guide frontend engineers, fostering best practices in coding, architecture, and design.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor within the central advisory team to support product teams in accelerating their development cycles.
• Balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on development.
• Continuously Learn and Develop to stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies.
  
  

Who are you?

Required Skills And Competences

• Strong proficiency in React, Angular, and Node.js, TypeScript.
• Proven experience leading frontend architecture and design in variety business contexts.
• Hands-on experience developing reusable components and starter kits.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and cloud-native development.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product teams and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.
• Background in mentoring and leading frontend engineers.
• Familiarity with security best practices in frontend development.
• Expierience working as tech lead for 3+ years.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a centralized advisory or platform team.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and related frontend hosting solutions.
• Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for frontend deployments.
