At Pet Watch, we view graphic design as a form of visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are seeking a talented graphic designer who can bring concepts and ideas to life through visual representations in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and be able to determine the optimal style and layout for each project.
Objectives of this role
- Work on various projects and media, using multiple software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
- Work independently and collaboratively with teams to meet deadlines and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may involve managing five or more simultaneous projects.
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.
- Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
Responsibilities
- Design Engaging Social Media Content: Create eye-catching visuals, motion graphics, and layouts for various social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and others.
- Develop Brand-Aligned Creative Assets: Ensure consistency in brand aesthetics, color schemes, and visual storytelling across all digital channels to maintain a unified brand presence.
- Collaborate with Content & Marketing Teams: Work closely with copywriters, strategists, and marketers to develop creative campaigns that drive engagement.
- Create new app screens and refine the current ones with Figma
- Create new and update the existing website pages
- Develop and prepare design assets for print and production purposes
- Develop and prepare the design in the HubSpot Marketing Tool
Required skills and qualifications
- Exceptional creativity and innovative UI/UX design skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Dreamweaver & Figma
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
- Video post-production and familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software.
