Job Description
Purpose of the role
The Senior Manager - Digital Workstream Lead is accountable for shaping and executing the digital strategy needed to deliver the business outcomes, translating technical requirements into features and roadmap, and coordinating all digital activities (e.g., development, architecture, integrations) for that workstream. By working closely with the Workstream Lead and guiding the technical team, the role ensures feasible, scalable, and secure solutions that align with broader program governance, standards and guardrails.
Build an integrated order-to-cash process with clear ownership and implement a global invoicing system to support value delivery, with systems integrating with E2E Orchestration platform.
All roles within the digital delivery organization focus on delivering digital solutions and support for the transformation workstreams. The roles are expected to work with the entire CDO including close collaboration with their respective counterpart roles within ITOPS to ensure stable operations and smooth transition from existing to future landscape.
Job Requirements
Accountabilities
- Oversees definition and validates the workstream’s technical roadmap, architecture choices, and solution design in line with enterprise guidelines, needed to deliver the workstream business outcomes
- Advises the Workstream Business Lead on technical feasibility, effort estimations, and solution trade-offs
- Coordinates workstream technical teams (developers, architects, data specialists) to break down tasks, assign responsibilities, and manage progress
- Oversees integration and data migration for systems within the workstream’s scope, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards
- Monitors and highlights technical risks (e.g., performance, security, vendor dependencies) to cyber security function and ensures mitigation plans
- Collaborates with finance/resource mgmt. function and digital governance lead to hire, develop, and retain tech talent, and build up the organization within the specific workstream
- Builds up digital organization and culture within workstream, drives upskilling, champions agile WoW
Hard/Content Skills
- Proficiency in defining and validating business & technical roadmaps, into feasible digital deliveries
- Expertise in mapping business requirements
- Experience breaking down development tasks, assigning responsibilities, and tracking technical progress
- Skilled in overseeing integration, data migration, and compliance with security/quality standards
- Knowledge of reference architectures, best practices (e.g., API-First, microservices, serverless), and DevSecOps
- Understanding of business objectives and how to shape technical solutions to achieve those objectives
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and roadmap, ensuring that technology decisions support commercial or operational goals
- Experience in managing technical solutions for invoice-to-cash processes (e.g., validation of billing info, invoicing, collection, dispute management)
- Understanding of finance requirements in logistics/shipping
- Familiarity with vendor landscapes and third-party solutions commonly used in that domain
- Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage diverse technical teams (developers, architects, data specialists)
- Effective communication to clarify requirements, negotiate timelines, and confirm scope with business stakeholders
- Ability to influence design decisions to balance performance, security, cost, and usability
- Proven ability to inspire teams to embrace new digital practices, innovation, and experimentation
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- At least 7-10+ years in a digital product, IT domain lead, solution architect, or engineering management role
- Demonstrable track record of delivering complex technical solutions within budget and timeframe
- Evidence of business acumen in prior roles, where technology solutions were implemented with measurable, positive impact on business KPIs
