We are looking for a Front-End iOS App Developer to join a dynamic team that creates innovative solutions to help employees work safer and more efficiently.
General Description
- The IT Frontend iOS Native Developer Level 2 builds, tests, and reviews mobile applications, maintains operational frameworks, and provides ongoing guidance and expertise on the design of mobile infrastructure to support business operations and projects.
- Minimum three (3) years of working experience in mobile solutions development or equivalent.
- Build, test, and review mobile applications; coordinate delivery across technical and development teams; and monitor end-to-end delivery following architectural direction, technical design, and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain the operational framework by performing sustainment activities and bug fixes efficiently and on time to support multiple project and sustainment teams.
- Manage mobile application change requests, address Tier 3 incidents, and update the mobile app use case inventory to centralize administration and support.
- Lead design thinking workshops with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Review and analyze existing mobile solutions and assist with researching, evaluating, and recommending COTS apps, innovations, and related hardware/software to continuously improve mobile solutions.
- Define and maintain custom mobile app delivery SDLC and sustainment procedures to accelerate and guide future mobile application development initiatives.
- Provide ongoing guidance and expertise on the design and support of mobile infrastructure to functional, technical, and consulting teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Expert development skills in iOS native languages such as iOS/Xcode Objective-C and Swift across large device fleets.
- Strong skills in Java and .Net.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS SDK, Python, and Android is an asset.
- Expertise in mobile app frameworks and libraries, including:
- SAPUI5 and SAP UI custom apps
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- Apache Cordova
- SAP Fiori apps (custom and off-the-shelf)
- Integration with multiple 3rd party vendor apps
- PerAppVPN configuration
- Strong technical skills in mobility infrastructure such as SAP Mobile Platform, SAP Afaria MDM, SAP Gateway, and F5 Big-IP.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms including Asset Suite, TIBCO ESB, SAP ECC, GIS (ESRI ArcGIS), Small World (GE), Labsys, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, FileNet, and Passport.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Work Assignment Requirements
- Participate in workshops to understand client goals, present user research findings, and gather feedback on proposed user experiences.
- Create solution design documents, operational guides, and configuration documents.
- Collaborate with external technical teams to implement and configure custom mobile applications.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing mobile applications using Swift and SAP UI5 technologies.
- Hands-on experience with SAP’s iOS SDK and Mobile Development Kit (MDK).
- Proven ability to design and develop SAP Fiori applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, OData services, and containerized environments.
- Ability to translate client requirements into intuitive form-based workflows and role-based access.
- Comfortable iterating on designs and solutions in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Self-directed with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with SAP Mobile Services, SAP Service & Asset Manager, and Dynamic Forms.
- Familiarity with SAP Build Work Zone and SAP Mobile Start.
- Exposure to GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with Node.js or TypeScript is a plus.
