About Us
We’re a creative studio specializing in the development of virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) games using Unity. We’re looking for a talented Environmental 3D Artist (Contract) to join our team and contribute to creating high-quality characters and objects that bring our immersive worlds to life.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, model, and texture 3D environments, props, and architecture that enhance the player’s sense of immersion.
- Collaborate closely with the art, design, and development teams to ensure environments align with gameplay and artistic vision.
- Integrate assets directly into Unity (one of the key tasks for this position), ensuring they are visually consistent and technically optimized.
- Optimize models and textures for VR performance — managing polygon count, draw calls, lighting, and file sizes.
- Maintain stylistic consistency across all assets while working within the technical limits of Unity and Meta Quest 2.
- Participate in reviews and iterations to continually improve the overall visual quality of environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Environmental Artist or 3D Artist in game development.
- Proven experience working with Unity, including asset integration and scene setup.
- Strong skills in modeling, UV mapping, texturing, lighting, and composition.
- Excellent understanding of game art pipelines and optimization for real-time environments (VR experience preferred).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a remote work setting.
Work Conditions
- Hourly rate: $20–$40, depending on experience.
- Length: 2-3 months (extension possible)
- Remote work: 100% remote.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Schedule: Flexible.
