We are looking for two advanced NDT Technicians specializing in Phased Array (PA) and Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) techniques for a critical project in Qatar. The ideal candidates will possess expert-level knowledge in setting up, operating, and analyzing data from advanced ultrasonic equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of high-value assets through cutting-edge inspection technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced ultrasonic inspections using Phased Array (PAUT) and Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) techniques as per written procedures.
- Develop and validate inspection procedures and techniques for complex geometries and applications.
- Operate sophisticated ultrasonic equipment and software for data acquisition and analysis (e.g., OmniScan, TomoView, FocusPC).
- Analyze scan data, create detailed maps of indications, and provide precise flaw sizing and characterization.
- Produce comprehensive high-level reports that include S-scans, B-scans, C-scans, and encoded data plots.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior NDT personnel on advanced techniques.
- Perform equipment verification, calibration, and functionality checks.
- Ensure all activities are planned and executed with the highest regard for personal and process safety.
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in NDT, Engineering, Physics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Total Experience Required: Total 5 years of experience, with minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in Phased Array and/or ToFD post Level II certification.
- Experience Certification:
- Valid ISO 9712 Level II certifications in Phased Array (PA) and Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) are mandatory.
- Certification must include demonstrated practical experience on live components.
- Additional conventional UT Level II certification is highly desirable.
