The opportunity

Our ACR tax team delivers efficient, high-quality services across tax compliance, statutory accounts, and tax accounting. We combine streamlined processes, advanced tools, and a strong regional network to drive value and manage risk. As part of EY, you'll evolve into a trusted advisor, offering tailored solutions that enhance clients’ competitive edge. You'll also lead teams across MENA, managing large-scale projects and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

You’ll support client engagements by coordinating tasks, managing deadlines, and assisting with financial processes, tax compliance, and reporting. You’ll lead teams, oversee service delivery, and implement standardized processes to improve performance and manage risks. You’ll drive business development, build client relationships, and grow our ACR portfolio. Additionally, you’ll coach teams, manage engagement economics, and ensure adherence to EY’s Tax Quality standards.

Skills And Attributes For Success

If you are an excellent communicator and detail oriented professional with a strong track record of management experience who is comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people and with large amount of data, you will be perfect for the role.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation or any related essential fields.
• MBA, Masters or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent qualification.
• Over 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment.
• Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, relevant tax rules, procedures and guidelines.
• Practical experience of regulatory topics including Prudential Reporting, Structural Reform; new accounting and compliance innovation; and/or Business audit skills.
  
  

Ideally, you also have

• Experience of dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
• Experience and knowledge of tax compliance, financial reporting and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Ability to win in the market by connecting with c-suite level, good negotiation skill and ability to work under challenging situations.
• Demonstrating a good understanding and capability of implementing accounting concepts.
