Software Engineer, Android Responsibilities:

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Software Engineer, Android Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android
- Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques
- Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms
- Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance
- 2+ years of programming experience in a relevant language
- 1+ years experience building complex applications targeting Android in production using its native languages and frameworks
- Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
- Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management
- Experience in performance debugging and benchmarking
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
- Shipped at least one large-scale product to production, supporting millions of active users
- Experience working with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, or NFC
- Familiarity with Android connectivity APIs and networking concepts
