Position: Project Manager ( Fixed Term Contract 24 months – option to extend)
As an experienced Project Manager within the team, you will be required to manage a variety of projects with a focus on digital technology products. The role will involve building strong relationships both with the Global Office departments and business services teams and working with key stakeholders from across the business, ensuring that good governance and project standards are maintained and reporting regularly to executives on progress.
Key accountabilities
Performance and progress in the following areas will be the priorities for this position:
- Ensuring that all projects follow project management best practices and reporting processes already used by Global A&A
- Working closely with Business Analysts and Change Management on projects throughout their lifecycle
- Producing and maintaining project documentation to a high-quality and on a timely basis; including bi-weekly reports, project plans, etc.
- Running regular project board meetings (when appropriate to the project) and liaising with your board members and stakeholders at various levels as required.
- Taking ownership of your projects, building relationships, and organising resource
- Liaising with third party providers where appropriate
- Understand the inflight and upcoming changes in project business requirements(s)
- Plan and design ‘outcome focused’ projects, monitor progress against agreed parameters, identify key risks, resolve issues and initiate timely corrective action
- Ensure underlying workstreams are coordinated
- Resolve risks and issues
- Monitor project(s) budget / expenditure etc.
- Ensure outputs meet requirements within time, quality, cost constraints
- Identify and initiate additional activities wherever gaps exist
- Regularly report to your sponsor and other governance forums
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive project management experience, working with senior stakeholders and sponsors, preferably in a professional services environment with a strong focus on digital technology projects.
- Prince2 qualified (or experience in working within Prince2 project management principles)
- Experience of both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies
- Proven experience in tailoring your project management approach and techniques
- according to the project environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and drive forward change
