We're working with a very exciting FinTech who are building an AI-native platform from the ground up.

They're looking for exceptional full-stack engineers who have a passion for building in totally greenfield environments, working on the latest in tech.

What You'll Be Building

This is a greenfield platform, so you'll have ownership over core components including:

• Real-Time Credit Decision Systems
• Translating complex financial rules and credit policies into fast, reliable, executable code.
• Secure Financial Infrastructure
• Designing systems that manage sensitive financial data across multiple clients with rock-solid reliability.
• AI-Powered Document Intelligence
• Creating data extraction pipelines that turn unstructured documents into structured insights using modern ML approaches.
• Compliance-First Architecture
• Developing audit and reporting capabilities that meet stringent financial regulatory requirements.
• End-to-End Product Experiences
• Building elegant, intuitive user interfaces with fast feedback loops and real impact on the user journey.

You'll help set the tone for how they ship product, write code, and make decisions.

What You Bring

Mindset & Approach:

• Proven success in early-stage startups or fast-moving teams you've built products from zero and know how to operate in ambiguity
• Strong product intuition you think beyond code and care about the user's experience
• High-velocity execution you turn ideas into working features fast and iterate quickly
• Willingness to learn whether it’s a new domain, new tech, or jumping into customer conversations

Core Experience:

• 5+ years building production-grade software (ideally in fintech, SaaS, or similarly complex environments)
• Deep backend skills Kotlin or Java with Spring, or equivalent experience with other high-performance back-end stacks
• Strong grasp of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and system design
• Solid database fundamentals experience designing schemas for integrity, auditability, and scale
• Hands-on with modern cloud environments experience with containerisation, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka or similar)
• ML integration experience (especially around document processing, LLMs, or embeddings)
• Knowledge of vector databases, full-text search, and RAG pipelines
• Building real-time collaborative features (e.g. websockets, YJS, CRDTs)
• Experience with custom UI libraries or design systems
• DevOps experience in cloud-native environments (e.g. GCP, GitHub Actions, Cloud Run)
• A sharp eye for design you appreciate good UX and care about the details
