Eligibility to Apply:
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa.

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/3/2026.

Position Profile: The Program Manager coordinates and manages the strategic development and delivery of the human, financial and physical resources within the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC). This includes day-to-day management of the 24/7 SHOC Facility.

The State Health Operations Centre (SHOC) supports health services to manage emergency department demand and ease system pressures. It brings together key functions from across health to improve system-wide monitoring and oversight. A 24/7 state-of-the-art fit-for-purpose operations centre located within the Perth CBD supports greater collaboration through co-location of services including:

  • WA Health: WA Virtual Emergency Department, Patient Transport Coordination Hub, System Flow Centre, Aged Care Hub, WA Statewide Telestroke Service
  • WA Country Health Service Command Centre
  • St John WA Secondary Triage
  • St John WA Specialist Aeromedical Coordination
  • Specialist staff from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services
