As a Functional Analyst, you play a key role in bridging business needs with technical implementation. Together with developers, architects, and other stakeholders, you ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood, translated, and refined into solutions that work. Your contribution helps the team move from good ideas to great results.
Job description- Gathering requirements: You facilitate discussions with stakeholders to capture their needs and objectives and translate these into functional specifications that the team can use as a clear foundation for development.
- Functional specifications: You help translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications (use cases, user stories, functional diagrams) and collaborate closely with architects and developers to shape the right technical solution.
- Process analysis and design: You analyse current business processes and, together with the team, design new and more efficient workflows.
- Communication: You act as a connector between stakeholders and the technical team, making sure knowledge flows both ways. You support developers by clarifying functional questions and represent the customer's perspective within the team.
- Documentation: You maintain clear and accurate documentation of requirements, specifications, and processes. You prepare user stories and support the team in following up development progress.
- Validation and testing: You contribute to defining test cases and take part in functional testing, working with the team to confirm that the solution meets expectations.
- Training and support: You help provide training, guidance, and user materials so that end users can confidently work with the delivered solution.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Analytical mindset: You want to deeply understand the customer's business domain, quickly gain insight into needs, and collaborate with the team to turn them into solutions.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with both clients and technical team members.
- Understanding of software development processes: You know how development lifecycles work (Agile/Scrum/Safe) and can collaborate effectively with developers.
- Accuracy: You work in a structured way and produce clear, precise documentation.
- Problem-solving: You combine critical thinking with attention to detail and quality.
- Nice to have: A technical background or experience with Web CMS products. Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager is a strong plus.
