We’re on the hunt for a hands-on Principal Python Engineer to design and build the backbone of our data-driven systems. This is not a maintenance role — you’ll be shaping architecture from the ground up, solving tough scaling problems, and driving engineering excellence.

You’ll start as a key individual contributor, owning critical backend and data infrastructure. As we grow, you’ll have the chance to mentor, lead projects, and help build a world-class engineering culture.

What you’ll do

Architect and deliver high-performance backend systems (Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Docker).

Own end-to-end data flows: ingestion, transformation, storage, and querying.

Partner with product + data teams to solve real business problems with technical creativity.

Optimize performance & scale while keeping developer experience smooth.

Write clean, tested, maintainable code with clear interfaces & solid architecture.

Set engineering standards, documentation, and practices.

Grow into a technical leadership role while mentoring others.

You should have

7+ years of Python engineering experience with strong systems-level thinking.

Built and scaled production systems from scratch.

Architecting and deliver high-performance backend systems experience

Deep relational database expertise (PostgreSQL performance tuning a plus).

Strong background in data workflows: design, debugging, scaling.

Clear, collaborative communication in a remote-first team.

Bonus points for

Experience productionizing ML pipelines.

Out-of-the-box problem-solving chops for complex technical challenges.
