Are you driven by the challenge of protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of services that millions rely on every day? Do you see cybersecurity not just as a technical discipline, but as a cornerstone of societal resilience? If you're motivated by purpose, complexity, and collaboration, we might have the perfect Cybersecurity Lead Architect opportunity waiting for you!

My name is Marton Sabli, and I’m heading the Architecture & Roadmap team at Telia. We’re a skilled group of over 10 Expert and Senior Expert IT Architects, responsible for designing OSS, IT Production, and Cybersecurity solutions across five Telia countries. Our team leads architecture and roadmap planning, in their respective domains, ensuring that our technology solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable over time.

We are now looking for a Cybersecurity Lead Architect to join us - someone eager to shape the future of security architecture across Telia’s mobile, fixed, and internal IT networks.

As a Cybersecurity Lead Architect, you’ll…

Oversee the design and development of systems operated by Telia’s Global Security Operation Center (GSOC), which plays a central role in protecting our network infrastructure. GSOC focuses on Security Incident Management, DDoS Protection, and Vulnerability Management - all essential to safeguarding the services used by hundreds of companies, millions of individuals, and critical emergency and governmental functions.

You’ll collaborate closely with Telia Group Security and Compliance, as well as country architects across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, and Estonia. Together, you’ll continuously improve our cybersecurity posture, with a particular focus on network protection - a unique and vital responsibility in the telecom sector, where uninterrupted mobile and fixed service delivery is paramount.

Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our cybersecurity solutions are not only robust and compliant but also aligned with Telia’s long-term strategic goals.

Who We’re Looking For…

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong collaborative skills to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization. You should be solution-oriented, with a passion for delivering tangible results even under time pressure. Creativity, innovation, and a proactive mindset are essential, as is the ambition to continuously improve and drive meaningful change in a dynamic cybersecurity landscape.

On the technical side, we expect you to have a strong professional background relevant to this position. You should have a proven track record of working as a solution architect within the cybersecurity domain, with at least five years of experience. Hands-on expertise in integrating cybersecurity systems such as Splunk, SentinelOne, vulnerability scanning tools, and SOAR platforms is essential. You should also have solid knowledge of Linux and Windows security hardening and logging practices, as well as network security fundamentals, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and proxies. Experience presenting architectural solutions to both technical communities and business stakeholders is important. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, and fluency in English is a must.
