We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Intelligent Actions team in the Copilot Studio product group. As part of our team, you will work on delivering cutting-edge ai-powered features like Computer Using Agents to empower customers with high value intelligent actions to support their agentic workloads. Responsibilities

  • Learn to write clean, maintainable, well-tested, scalable, reliable, maintainable and secure code for new AI-driven features that help improve how agents interact with other systems.
  • Learns about and applies diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability, and understands when the code is ready to be shared and delivered.
  • With guidance, identifies and escalates blockers or unknowns during the development process, and communicates how they will impact timelines.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and iteration of features across the full stack – from front-end web experiences to our backend infrastructure.
  • Embrace and apply engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence to ensure high quality, maintainability, and resilience in production. Apply a variety of AI-supported tools and technologies to deliver diverse customer experiences.
  • Work across various technologies and platforms, participating in the full software development cycle: brainstorm, prototype, implement, test, and deploy.
  • Embody Microsoft culture and values, with a specific focus on Growth Mindset and Customer obsession.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • You must be legally authorised (have citizenship or a valid visa/work permit) to work in France for this role
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing modern applications using React and TypeScript.
