Lounge by Zalando is the leading online outlet in Europe, offering limited-time exclusive discounts on premium fashion and lifestyle brands.

As a Frontend (Web) Engineer, you'll enhance the customer experience on the Lounge by Zalando web app. You'll bring a customer-centric mindset, translating non-technical stakeholder stories into technical solutions. Your daily work will involve ReactJS, TypeScript, and NodeJS codebases, along with integrating REST APIs.

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

The Lounge by Zalando- CFA Decide team is dedicated to continuously improving and enhancing the online shopping experience within the Lounge by Zalando apps. We are responsible for providing an engaging and interactive browsing experience to our customers. Our goal is to create a seamless and intuitive journey for our users. Additionally, we are actively working on introducing AI-powered solutions to further personalize and enrich the customer's interaction with our platform.

What We’d Love You To Do

• You will be part of the CFA Decide Team, building solutions for Lounge by Zalando’s web applications.
• Together with your team, you will develop customer focused solutions for the Lounge by Zalando’s end users.
• Communicate with various stakeholders to understand the business context, and translate the requirements into technical designs
• Act like an owner by taking up a challenge, work towards reducing ambiguity, and break the work down into manageable tasks.
• Lean on your web experience and skill set, develop robust, performant and maintainable code.
• Share and develop your expertise with your team to deliver the best user experience to our customers.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3+ years of experience with React, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, StyledComponents and Nodejs
• Ability to deploy and operate applications in a cloud native infrastructure (AWS and Kubernetes). You care about observability, automated tests, and fast delivery
• Having a passion for usability, accessibility and an eye for good design
• Proficient in debugging frontend code
• Web Components, Atomic Design, Service Workers, Isomorphic Rendering are more than buzz words for you
