Why This Role Is Right for You

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milan or Rome. Together, we’re building Nexi’s next-generation ISV Partner Platform for the Nordics market – an ecosystem of modular frontend and backend services designed for rapid onboarding and seamless integration. You’ll be responsible for the deployment pipelines and infrastructure that keep the platform stable, scalable, and secure.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will:

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both frontend micro-frontends and backend SCS services.
• Containerize services using Docker and manage orchestration through Kubernetes or similar platforms.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts to provision cloud infrastructure across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure uptime and fast issue detection/resolution.
• Implement and manage secure handling of secrets, environment variables, and sensitive configurations.
• Optimize platform performance through load balancing, auto-scaling, caching, and CDN strategies.
• Ensure deployment quality through automated testing, security scanning, and rollback strategies (e.g., blue-green deployments).

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure or AWS).
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including monitoring, observability, and system reliability.
  
  

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with micro-frontends and module federation deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with SCS (Self-Contained Systems) or microservice architectures.
• Experience setting up CDNs and web asset optimization.
• Knowledge of security practices in DevOps pipelines (e.g., static analysis, secret detection).
• Background in fintech or high-availability environments.
